I keep running into the same problem in Black Ops 7: you pick an SMG for speed, then you lose a mid-range fight because the gun won't sit still. The Ryden 45K is the one exception right now, and if you're curious why people won't stop talking about it, a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby is a clean way to get a feel for the recoil pattern and the TTK without the usual chaos. The trick isn't "balance," either....
