The Las Vegas Raiders made one of the more surprising picks in the first half of Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday night when they took Georgia tight end Brock Bowers at No. 13 overall.The pick isn't surprising because Bowers is a bad player. In fact, he's got the goods to be truly elite at the next level.It's surprising because tight end was one of the positions the Raiders didn't have to addre s Madison Bowey Jersey after taking Michael Mayer in 2023. Not to mention, Las Vegas had its pick of the top-two cornerbacks and a slew of offensive tackles, all of whom could've filled big holes on either side of the ball.But we shouldn't be totally shocked by this. After all, general manager Tom Telesco made it very clear he wouldn't just draft for need and would have his eye on the future.
