Tommy Smith has learnt that his knee injury suffered at Charlton on Saturday was not as bad as first thought.Scans revealed no long-lasting damage and Andre Baccellia Jersey the Golden Boy has only to recover from bruising and swelling.The injury had occurred after a horrific challenge by Kelly Youga.The news means Smith could be in contention for a place in the side this weekend. He is however, doubtful for tomorrow nights clash with Nottingham Forest.Brendan Rodgers however, is just thankful there was no long-lasting damage for one of his star players.He said: I was very, very disappointed by the tackle.It was poor and I am just thankful that there is no long-lasting structural damage.Tommy is a doubt for tomorrow night, but hopefully he should be back with us for the weekend.
