How do chemical catalyst companies avoid light?
The light shielded storage of chemical catalysts mainly involves the following methods:
Light avoidance measures
Use brown glass container
Light shielded storage is suitable for all light-sensitive catalysts, such as polyurethane rigid foam catalysts, which need to be stored in a light shielded environment. It is recommended to use brown bottles or containers wrapped in black paper.
Light shielded storage
Place the container in a reagent cabinet or a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight. For example, triphenylphosphine rhodium chloride needs to be sealed with argon and stored away from light (2-8 ℃).
Special reagent processing
Some catalysts (such as silver halide, silver nitrate, etc.) need to be additionally protected from light. It is recommended to use blackout curtains or reagent cabinets.
